System Design Engineer (Intern) Description The system design engineer will be in charge of developing customized test instruments and complete test systems to test the electrical performance of Apple products. The ideal candidate is an EE with good scripting skills, and most of all, enjoys shipping a working system instead of designs on paper. Design, troubleshoot and debug electrical functional test equipment such as low noise audio signal digitizer, precise current meter, high speed switcher, efficient and fast power supply, etc Prototype HW test systems for consumer electronics. Description Responsible for leading all the ongoing factory tests being conducted, for new product introduction from prototype to mass production. This includes: Working closely with the development teams, early in the product development lifecycle, to define product tests for functionalities and performance. Specifying calibration station, test stations and diagnostics for calibrating and measuring product features. Responsible for the development of test procedures, test plans and test reports. Developing/executing project plans. Specifying/implementing test process control and data collection, documenting all the ongoing tests. Be the main contact concerning tests and processes with our Contract Manufacturers. Interact with internal groups at Apple to ensure that tests are being performed adequately and on time. In Region Reliability Intern, Shanghai In this position, the intern will be responsible for administration of Lab. in Apple’s contractual manufacturing sites. The candidate will be expected to learn the fundamentals of Reliability test method (including set up of test equipment, test design, test data collection, and analysis reporting. The candidate need to support research of Reliability Engineers by conducting experiments and solving interesting technical challenges across all of Apple’s products and modules. This is an internship with a 6 -12 month timescale (can be negotiated) and an expected deliverable of a complete training program. Description In this position you need to understand the entire process of reliability. test setup and Failure Analysis Development of new reliability tests SOP (standard of process) and report format Work with CM sites lab. Team to make sure the correct test setup and accurate data reporting Support Reliability Engineer to perform Statistical data analysis for risk assessments Min. 3 days per week working at Apple Lab or its CM Labs (possible OT work on weekend) Key Qualifications Graduate student of majoring in Material science, Mechanical, or Electrical process (Familiar with Failure Analysis is preferred) Good knowledge on data analysis and database management system English CET 6. Personal Skill Set Collaborate with other team members as well as work independently(required to establish and maintain close relationship with deferent levels from vendors and Apple) Excellent written and verbal communication skill Passion to provide accurate data with attention to detail. Ability to complete assigned work requests and manage multiple deadlines. 5. Software Intern Description You will join a creative and passionate SW developer community to be part of Apple’s innovation and excellence. The SW intern will be in charge of developing embedded software of test instruments for Apple production and data mining tools. The successful candidate is a SW developer with good understanding of CS or EE, and most of all, enjoys delivering excellent code. Job scope will be part of below description. Design and troubleshoot embedded SW for test instruments and FPGA IPCore control. SW performance profiling and optimization. Continuous Integration setup. Large scale data processing and visualization. ML/AI study on explorative fault analysis. Mac/iOS app development or Web frontend development. SW documentation and presentation in enterprise environment. Requirements EE or CS/CE Proficiency in C/C++ or python etc. Familiar with Linux/Unix system Good written and oral English Fast learner and Self-driven Preferred Experience in embedded system SW development on ARM Cortex series.
